 In 1980s California, a group of young men (O'Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell) form the hip-hop group N.W.A and revolutionize music and pop culture with brutally honest songs about life in the 'hood.

Since the start of the filming of this movie, it has been surrounded by a few controversies like who should play who and MC Ren taking to twitter about his ill feelings about not being in the Movie Trailer Universal pictures created for Straight out of compton.

Also Suge Night doing a hit and Run on the Set of the movie in compton.  The first week of filming in August 2014 there was a drive by shooting. Despite all the controversy the film has great rating so far and many like me cant wait to see the movie.
